Welcome to the Alpha Xi Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign! What is Sinfonia? Sinfonia is a social fraternity where each man shares a common bond of brotherhood through the love of music. Music is the fiber that binds Sinfonians together here and nationwide. Sinfonia seeks not only the manly musician, but at the same time the musicianly man. Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia forms a lifetime bond through shared experience and love of music: brotherhood transcending simple friendship. With over 200 chapters nationwide, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is a rich part of American tradition from its beginnings at the New England Conservatory in 1898 and on into the future.
