Events Reloaded

New for the new web site is a vastly improved version of Upcoming Events.  The new system allows for events to be posted which can be hidden from various user groups.  This means that internal Alpha Xi events can be posted and viewed by Alpha Xi members but not the public, events can be hidden from PM's, or events can be hidden from the public but visible to any Sinfonian.

Anyone can register to receive a notification when an event is getting close.  Notifications can be sent out 5, 3, and 1 day prior to the event.  Registered users can elect to receive reminders automatically by setting the appropriate options in their Preferences.

Perhaps the most significant change from the old system from the chapter's standpoint is the ability to add recurrance to events.  This way, for events that happen over and over again (chapter meetings for example), it only has to be created once.  Then just set up recurrance to happen every Monday, for example, and it's done!  No more having to remember to post recurring events manually.
